Healing with acupuncture

Restore balance with fine needles. Acupuncture is probably the best-known treatment method in traditional Chinese medicine. In acupuncture, certain points of the human body are stimulated with acupuncture needles in order to influence the life energy – the Qi. According to Chinese belief, this is disturbed in the case of illness or discomfort. The needles remove the disturbance so that the Qi can flow harmoniously again.

What is acupuncture?

Acupuncture has its origins in ancient Chinese medicine, where it was believed several millennia before the Christian era that a flow of energy through the human body takes place in certain pathways (the so-called “meridians”). Traditional Chinese medicine defines over 700 points on the main surface through which the flow of energy in the body is influenced and which can be influenced by manual healing methods such as acupuncture, acupressure, cupping and massage.

With the help of acupuncture, the balance in the energy flow can be restored; by harmonizing the energy flow, pain relief is achieved. Significantly, acupuncture does not treat the diseased or dysfunctional organ directly, but the meridian or acupuncture point to which the organ is assigned.
